Tawi-tawi local legislator Hon. Sabuddin N. Abdurahim was sworn in as the new Secretary of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 replacing the former Secretary Guiling A. Mamondiong whose term of office expired on March 7, 2024.

Secretary Abdurahim took his Oath of Office before the Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin at the Malacañan Palace. The ceremony was witnessed by Governor Yshmael “Mang” I. Sali of Tawi-Tawi, Asec. Al Mohammad, Asec. Ria Danielle Lumapas, Tawi-Tawi Provincial PESO Manager Mr. Francis Marcial, and the Secretary’s wife Barangay Chairwoman Dewy Sabuddin.
