Amidst a joyous 14th anniversary celebration, the NCMF marks a simultaneous significant event. OIC Secretary Yusoph J. Mando inks a Memorandum of Agreement with the Social Security System thru its President Rolando L. Macasaet.

The agreement aims to provide social security protection for the Muslim agency workers. Under this, the SSS agreed to cover the COS/JO personnel of the Commission against the hazards of disability, sickness, maternity, old age, death and other contingencies.

It also intends to cover willing regular/permanent employees of NCMF, who are existing SSS members by virtue of private employment or self-employed, may opt to continue members by paying contributions as voluntary members, to which SSS has already agreed to extend assistance for the remittance of their preferred monthly SS contributions.

President Macasaet has instructed that SSS will deploy its mobile registration center near NCMF for a convenient and greater number of member registrations.

For the NCMF, OIC Secretary Mando is pleased with the program as it materializes his long ardent plan to provide for a wider employment benefit in the form of social security protection and/ or old age pension to the agency’s employees and officials.

Likewise, OIC Secretary Mando expresses optimism should the same program be cascaded to Muslim communities or workers who can be registered under self-employed or voluntary paying members regardless of trade, business, or occupation. The SSS receives the idea with a positive note.

Witnesses for NCMF are Comm Rash Lidasan, Comm Dalisay Macadawan, Exec Dir Tahir S. Lidasan, CESO II, BMEA Director Rahmatol Mamukid, Chief Ad-drin Abusaman.

Fortunately, present during the ceremony is Atty. Alfredo F. Bayan, DILG-Undersecretary for Mindanao Affairs and Special Concerns.

SSS key officials from its central office and field offices in QC are present accompanying their President Rolando L. Macasaet for the significant MOA signing
